Slate is a construction material that forms a part of Galicia’s DNA. With MLP21 we have reinvented the production of this material by using slate that is not apt for conventional manufacturing processes.

EASY TO INSTALL

It can be adapted to the most uneven surfaces, and is easy to lay and to cut.

BREAK-RESISTANT

It is an extremely resistant material, which prevents loss of material from accidental breakage.

0% POROSITY

Problems with freezing are prevented by its high resistance to water absorption.

IT DOES NOT LOSE ITS COLOUR

It is resistant to weathering and maintains its original colour over time.

ABRASION-RESISTANT

Responds well to abrasion. The same resistance as an external layer of natural slate.

FUNGUS-RESISTANT

Coating with natural slate prevents the appearance of any type of organic material over time.

EASY TO TRANSPORT

Its lightness and flexibility means it can be adapted to any transportation space.

EASY TO MAINTAIN

The external layer of natural slate makes cleaning easy and long-lasting.

INSTALLATION

STEPS FOR INSTALLATION

Clean the area where the slate sheets are going to be laid.
Put the sheet in place, applying pressure for a few seconds in order to ensure proper contact.
Follow the same process with all of the sheets.
To ensure that the sheets fit properly onto the surface, they can be cut with an angle grinder, strong scissors or sander for small size adjustments.

A LOOK AT NATURE FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

The way in which we look at the landscape around us models the way we are and provides a sensitivity to everything we do.

MLP21 is born from this perspective in O Barco de Valdeorras (Ourense), inspired by the meandering course of the River Sil.

The flow of the river takes it through the veins of the slate, reflecting nature in every one and conveying a pleasant feel to the touch and an easiness on the eye.
